More Travel Info and Tips

Which airport should I fly into?

The closest airport is Larnaca International Airport (LCA) — about 45 minutes by car to Protaras.

What should I expect flying to Cyprus from the U.S.?

  • No direct flights to Cyprus, so you will likely connect through London or a European hub.
  • Book flights early – we recommend 4-6 months before the wedding
  • Travel time varies from 13-24 hours depending on layovers. Try arriving latest by Wednesday, June 10th to give yourself time to rest and adjust. The beach is the perfect place.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

  • Taxi
  • Airport shuttle - We recommend Kapnos Shuttle Service
  • Rental car – Great if you plan to explore more of Cyprus (remember, we drive on the left here!).
  • Family and Friends – Let us know when you plan to arrive and we can try to arrange for someone to pick you up!

Do I need a visa to visit Cyprus?

Most guests from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, UK, and EU don't need a visa for stays under 90 days. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 3 months after departure.

What's the weather like in June?

Sunny, warm, and gorgeous! Expect 26–30°C (78–86°F) with moderate humidity. Pack light clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen — but maybe bring a light layer for the evening sea breeze.

Can I use my credit card?

Yes — credit and debit cards are widely accepted. The currency is Euro (€). We recommend carrying some cash just in case.

What if I want to explore the rest of Cyprus?

We would recommend renting a car and doing a road trip through Limassol, Paphos and Troodos. The island is small, you can drive across it in 2.5 hours, but it has staggeringly different landscapes to explore. For a more personalized holiday itinerary, please feel free to reach out to us!

Will my phone plan work in Cyprus?

Check with your provider as you will likely be charged for local calls. We recommend purchasing an e-SIM card through the Nomad app which will also allow you to have internet access throughout your trip.
